About
When I was five, my grandmother sat the grandkids down and taught us how to put together puzzles. When I was ten, my other grandmother taught me how to hand sew quilt pieces to keep me out of trouble. Fast forward 25 years and I love mixing the science of solving complex puzzles and the art of collaboration with others to create innovative products that enrich our lives.
I am currently a costume Draper transitioning to the world of UX|UI design. I love that both areas focus on my favorite thing, making cool stuff that serves a purpose and makes someone’s life a little easier. In the costuming world I am in the room with the client or actor or designer and have meaningful collaborative discussions about movement, line, and balance while fitting a unique puzzle of fabric that I made. Similarly, in the UX|UI world I get to collaborate with colleagues and clients to create engaging and useful products that are tested and adjusted to ensure the form and function meet both client and user needs.
No matter the medium or venue, I seek to tell compelling stories and reach a deeper understanding of the world around us.
